Come join the discussion about these issues and how they’re affecting young women and girls in the Proviso Township area and beyond. After a panel discussion and audience Q&A facilitated by Michael Romain, Editor & Publisher of The Village Free Press, join community activists, social entrepreneurs, businesswomen (and men), politicians, policymakers, educators and professionals from a wide array of fields in more than an hour of networking and information-sharing, complete with free health advice from Loyola Medical students and small business vendors. Target Audience: 150-200 people of all ages in the Proviso Township Area, especially Maywood, who have a vested interest in the health and wellbeing of young women and girls. Particular organizations targeted include:
Female Mentoring Organizations – Youth Mentoring Organizations – Female-Owned Small Businesses – Social Service Organizations – Church Youth and Women Ministries – Local Colleges and Universities – Local High School and Elementary Schools. Come out and get to know other movers, shakers and change-makers in your community!
Itinerary
5pm – 5:30pm – Introductory remarks; remarks from heads of various area nonprofits.
5:30pm – 6:30pm – Panel Discussion
6:30pm – 7:30pm – Audience Q & A; audience interaction
7:30pm – 9:00pm – Networking and empowerment (vendors, exhibitors, refreshments)
