Press Release: Annual Operation Uplift Dr. King Luncheon To Be Held in April This Year

Operation Uplift, Inc. and The West Town Museum announce that the Dr. Martin Luther King Luncheon willb e held in the Spring on April 5, 2014. The venerable gathering has long been held in January to commemorate the month in which Dr. King was born and during which the nation celebrates his life. However, the April 5, date is not without significance. On April 4, 1968, Dr. King was assassinated in Memphis, TN.

The April Luncheon will be held at the Diplomat West Banquet Hall in Elmhurst, IL.

The theme for the day: “Embracing The Legacy of His Dream.

The Key Note Speaker will be the Rev. Michael Wright, a recipient of the Hometown Dream Weaver award.
