BREAKING: Three Shot, Injured In Maywood Restaurant Shooting

February 21, 2014, MAYWOOD — The Maywood Police Department has reported a shooting that occurred inside of Pumpkin’s Place, a restaurant on the corner of 5th and Quincy. Police responded to the call at approximately 5:45 pm. The alleged assailant reportedly walked into the restaurant wearing a ski mask and opened fire.  Upon officers’ arrival, two males in their twenties had been shot–one in the arm, the other in the stomach–and a third, in his late thirties to early forties, was taken to Loyola Medical Center. All three victims are in stable condition. At press time, investigators and evidence technicians were still at the scene. As of yet, police do not know the cause of the shooting.
