Two Maywood Senior Citizens Escape Structure Fire Unharmed; Chief Bronaugh Urges All Residents To Store Disaster Kits

Maywood firefighters battled a structure fire that occurred yesterday, June 16, 7:30 PM, at a home on the 2000 block of  South 10th Avenue, according to a report issued by Maywood Fire Chief Craig Bronaugh. Two unidentified elderly residents were present when the fire started, but were able to evacuate the home safely. Officials are still investigating the cause, but have ruled out suspicious activity.

“I would like to encourage ALL residents to prepare and store a disaster kit in their home,” said Bronaugh.
