BREAKING: Maywood Police Arrest Suspect In Murder of Milton Carswell

A Maywood man has been arrested in connection with the murder of Milton Carswell last month, Maywood Police announced. On Monday, June 30, Jeffery Sandridge, 32, of Maywood, was charged with one count of First Degree Murder. Sandridge appeared in court yesterday morning at Maybrook Court House in Maywood, where he received a bond of $1.5 million.

On May 3, 2014, at approximately 6:08 PM, Maywood Police officers responded to a call of a person shot in the area of 18th and St. Charles in Maywood. At 6:10 PM, Carswell, 49, of Maywood, was pronounced dead at the scene by the medical examiner’s office. Preliminary investigation revealed that Mr. Carswell, who was involved in an alleged dispute earlier in the day, was fatally shot and run over by the offender in the parking lot of 34 South 18th Avenue in Maywood. Carswell family has lost one of the power fullest people in Illinois and its hard to talk but Iam thankful for the people of God and authority to catch a man that killed my Family member.That had more impact than most fathers in this world today.
    I thank the people that comment but by commenting with out prayer they are considered fools in the eyes of Family Friends And his Children that’s related to Milton Carswell. was my family member. I hope and wish that on 4/20/2016 that people of Illinois will understand. and do research be for they speak or type.Do to the comments I will have to live with the fact i can never see my Family member again…… I hope that i said what needed to be said and i prey he gets a fair trail.
