Teenager Dies After Aug. 30 Crash in Maywood

Giselle Marchin, a 17-year-old girl who was a passenger in a vehicle that crashed in Maywood earlier this week, died on Wednesday, according to a Sept. 1 report by the Chicago Sun-Times.

Marchin was in a car that crashed at around 1 a.m. on Aug. 30. The vehicle was traveling north on Ninth Ave. and Madison St. when it hit a utility pole while crossing the intersection, ejecting the teenager from the car, Maywood Police Lt. Dennis Diaz told the Sun-Times.

The girl was rushed to Loyola University Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead at 1:02 a.m. on Aug. 31, the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office reported. The girl’s residence wasn’t included in the Sun-Times report.

  1. Maywood village need to level the street at 9th and Madison going north bound, its a large hump in the street. The hump will force you to loose control of your car if you just going the speed limit. The police need to check the camera for review of accident, this is how they can tell. The village had a tragic August, the village free press got 3 people dying this month. The citizens need some answers politicians. Citizens election is coming get ready to vote!
