Sun-Times: 3 Men Arrested During Investigation Into Deadly Shooting in Melrose Park

According to a report by Sun-Times Media Wire that was published by CBS Chicago on Jan. 21, three have been arrested during an investigation into a fatal Jan. 15 shooting that happened in Melrose Park.

Last Sunday, at around 2:40 p.m., Melrose Park police received a call about possible drug dealing in the area of 12th Ave. and Winston Drive.

“During an investigation into the reported drug dealing, a 911 call was received from a home in the 1200 block of Winston that a person had been shot inside the home, police said. When officers arrived they found two people shot,” the wire report notes.

Police found Anthony Scott, of Aurora, dead from multiple gunshot wounds. Another person sustained minor gunshot wounds.

Since then, police have arrested three men during their investigation of the murder. Dante Ricciardi, 26 and Joshua Felton, 28, have both been charged with unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon. Ulises Vences, 30, is in custody for a “2015 charge of being an armed habitual criminal,” the CBS report notes.
