  1. The violence needs to stop. I hope the officers locate the suspect. The family an Maywood residence needs closure. A school and park is right in the area, the kids can’t attend without getting hurt. I pray the young juvenile make it.

    1. MAYWOOD LOVE: That’s true. But, it’s up to the residents of Maywood need to come together and stand up for their community against gun violence. If a person is doing all the gun violence, we are going to turn them into the police.

  2. I pray that the juvenile that was shot, makes it. I hope that the Maywood Police Department, and the village of Maywood find the person that did this horrible incident, and bring him to justice.

Q:) What did that Alpha Phi Alpha peace march that IL State Rep. Emanuel “Chris” Welch did? The village of Maywood is still having a gun violence problem. That peaceful march was a complete joke!

    1. No no please not, we can’t continue to die this young. The police have to start solving these murders, people dieing to gun violence, car accidents an fighting with there kids. Looking at the villagefreepress this is about the village 13 death. The Mayor have to do something an fast. People need to visit the Mayor an have a real conversation…need answers an results…wonder how many murders solved in Maywood?

      1. MAYWOOD LOVE: Like I said, it is up to the community and the residents of Maywood to come together and stand against gun violence. Some residents know who are the gang members, drug dealers, and etc. They need to say “enough is enough” and turn the perpetrator to the Maywood Police Department.

It’s not only Mrs. Mayor Perkins need to do something fast. But, the Village Manager Willie Norfleet, Jr. and Maywood Police Chief Talley need to have a town hall meeting and talk to the residents of Maywood about the homicide rate. I can’t stress that enough.
