A Broadview man was pronounced dead at a motel in that village on Sept. 11, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.

The Broadview Police Department reported to the coroner’s office about the death of Moses J. Neely, 45, of the 2500 block of South 12th Street in Broadview, at 8:48 p.m., according to the medical examiner.

The death happened at the Travel Inn, 1150 W. Roosevelt Rd. in Broadview. A representative from the medical examiner’s office said that officials were waiting on the results of a toxicology test before releasing an official cause of death.

When reached by phone on Tuesday, an official with the Broadview Police Department declined to comment on the case, instead recommending that a FOIA request be filled out and turned into the department. VFP
