Regular Maywood Board Meeting Scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 19, 7 PM

A regular meeting of the Maywood Board of Trustees is scheduled to take place tonight, Tuesday, Sept. 19, 7 p.m., at 125 S. 5th Ave. in Maywood. Among items to be discussed include (to access the full agenda, click here):

  • Discussion and approval regarding repair of a sinkhole in the pavement within the intersection of First Avenue and Roosevelt Road at an overall estimated cost of $45,000.00.
  • Discussion and approval of Maywood Police Department Proposal #23 regarding seizure of a 2013 motor vehicle that occurred in an armed violence matter (MPD 17-01588).  The vehicle has low mileage and suitable for use as a tactical vehicle and can be satisfied for $10,000 or less based on Blue Book value.
  • Consideration and Approval of Request by Maywood Park District For Use of Madison Street / Fifth Avenue Tax Increment Financing (TIF) District Funds to Pay for Certain Rehabilitation Costs of the Maywood Park District Building Located at 809 West Madison Street in the Amount of $285,000.00 (with a related Memo dated September 13, 2017 from Klein, Thorpe and Jenkins, Ltd.)
  • A Motion to approve the payment of an Arbitration Award dated February 29, 2016 in favor of Robert Jay in the amount of $106,128.13 from Klein, Thorpe and Jenkins, Ltd.
