The Shedd Aquarium, 1200 S. Lake Shore Drive in Chicago, is offering free admission to federal employees and their families for the duration of the federal government shutdown, Shedd officials announced in a statement released today.

Federal workers are required to show a valid federal ID upon entry. They’re allowed to bring as guests two adults and all children in their household under 12.

The free admission includes full access to the Shedd, “including the opportunity to see an aquatic presentation and the aquarium’s new exhibit, Underwater Beauty. 4-D experience tickets are available for purchase on-site as a ticket upgrade option,” officials explained.
