Loyola University Chicago recently received a major windfall as it builds up its new school of health sciences and public health in Maywood. According to a report published last month in Crain’s Chicago Business, the school got a $20 million gift from two Loyola alumni.

“The gift from former Baxter International CEO Robert Parkinson and his wife, Elizabeth, both Loyola alumni, will fund the new Parkinson School of Health Sciences & Public Health,” Crain’s reported. “Degree programs will start this fall, with a new building likely to follow on Loyola’s west suburban Maywood campus, says Loyola President Jo Ann Rooney. ”
