There’s a lot to do this week in Proviso Township. Here is just a small sampling of events available for you and the family:

Hear Robert Renteria

On Thursday, April 25, 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., at Mi Tierra en la Villita, 2528 S. Kedzie Ave. in Chicago, the Maywood-Proviso Rotary Club will host Dr. Robert Renteria, author of From the Barrio to the Boardroom. Dinner: $25 (Rotary members). $40 (non-members).

Attend a town hall

On Thursday, April 25, 7 p.m., at 125 S. 5th Ave. in Maywood, the village of Maywood will host its regular Town Hall.

Take advantage of Jesse White’s mobile unit

On Friday, April 25, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Bellwood Village Hall, 3200 Washington Blvd. in Bellwood, Secretary of State Jesse White, along with the village of Bellwood, will offer area drivers a chance to renew their driver’s license or ID card, and receive a duplicate or corrected ID card or license during White’s mobile unit.

Have fun at Village Wide, Village Pride

On Saturday, April 27, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., starting at the Maywood Gazebo, located just behind the Maywood Police Station at 121 S. 5th Ave. (in the park along Oak Street, between 1st and 5th Avenues), hundreds of volunteers will descend on the village for the annual Village Wide, Village Pride cleanup.
