On Sept. 20, millions of young people around the world participated in the Global Climate Strike — what “may be remembered as the largest global demonstration ever in the fight against climate change,” according to Vox.

At Loyola’s Free Cancer Screening Event, The Theme Is Prevention

On Sept. 7, researchers with Loyola University Medical Center teamed up with the College of American Pathologists Foundation to offer free cervical and breast cancer screenings to at least 60 women from the west suburbs.

Bellwood Grants Tax Breaks, Could Lure Food Production Company

The Village of Bellwood Board of Trustees voted unanimously on Sept. 18 to support granting Class 6(b) property tax incentives to a hat manufacturer and a food production business that wants to buy two properties in the village in order to expand its operations.
