During a regular meeting on Sept. 3, the Broadview Board of Trustees unanimously approved a resolution authorizing and approving the collective bargaining agreement with the Broadview Professional Firefighters Union IAFF-AFFI Local 5129, which represents Broadview firefighters and paramedics. Broadview Mayor Katrina Thompson was absent.

Broadview Fire Department Recognized For Number Of Free Smoke Alarms Installed

The Broadview Fire Department was recently recognized by the nonprofit Illinois Fire Safety Alliance and the Office of the Illinois State Fire Marshal for its “outstanding contributions to fire safety education and installation of smoke alarms within the community last year,” according to a statement the Broadview Fire Chief Tracy Kenny released on Feb. 5.

Broadview Moves Administrative Offices As Village Hall Undergoes Construction

On Sept. 24, the village of Broadview relocated its administrative offices and building department to the Broadview Fire Department, 2400 S 25th Ave. in Broadview, according to a flyer released by Mayor Katrina Thompson’s office.
