Community members in Maywood have organized a first-ever I Am Maywood, I Am My Village Friends and Family Picnic, which is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 26, 11 a.m., at Maywood Veterans Memorial Park, located between 1st and 5th Avenues on Fred Hampton Way (Oak St.).
