Hinsdale Central High School’s golf team is a state powerhouse. They’ve won six consecutive state titles. Proviso East’s golf program, meanwhile, probably hasn’t had a winning record in four decades.

Former Maywood Resident Killed in Walgreens Parking Lot Shooting

A former resident of Maywood was fatally shot in the parking lot of a Walgreens drugstore in Schaumburg, where the man had recently moved. The shooting happened at around 5:15 p.m. on Aug. 14, the Daily Herald reports.

The victim, 37-year-old Quentin D. Tillison, was pronounced dead at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge just after 2 a.m. on Aug. 15. The Herald cites local authorities and the Cook County medical examiner’s office, which ruled the death a homicide.
