Maywood Signals It Won’t Pass Chicago’s Water Cost Increase Onto Residents

Starting June 1, the City of Chicago will raise water rates by 1.54 percent, or $3.94 per 1,000 gallons. That’s an estimated $56,000 over the total it charged Maywood last year. The water rate hike is due to an increase in the Consumer Price Index inflation rate.

Maywood Preps For Around $2M In Alley And Street Improvements, To Start In 2018

During a Dec. 19 regular meeting, the Maywood Board of Trustees unanimously approved agreements with Edwin Hancock Engineering for professional engineering services on a series of alley and street improvements scheduled to take place in 2018.
