On Sept. 16, moments after the Maywood Family Fest Parade took place, I spoke with members of the Chicago Cross-Roads Corvette Club, an automobile club comprising around 200 Corvette owners, most of whom are African American and who hail from nine different states (and a host of towns, including Broadview).

The village of Maywood held its annual Maywood Family Fest over the weekend for the second consecutive year since going on hiatus for several years and resident Bruce Leeve was going to see as much of it as he could.
